Tyler, Xpresso Mobile Cafe, Brisbane-West - Franchise Owner Short Story

We spent a quick morning on the road with Tyler, franchise owner from Xpresso Mobile Cafe, Brisbane-West, to get a glimpse of his day and how he is tracking since he started with his Xpresso Mobile Cafe franchise a few weeks earlier.

Tyler's Story (In Text)

"I was working at Woolworths, been doing that for eleven years in the deli I worked my way up to deli manager and yeah that was a long time long part of my life. Just needed something different.

I love coffee been a big coffee fanatic for a long time, just always wanted to be more involved with it.

I had no idea what I was doing so I just thought I'd give it a shot and these guys helped out a lot with that they set me up with pretty much everything helped me on the run and then just making it ever since and now I'm making it full time getting paid to do it so that's great - love it.

I was looking at fixed cafes for a while there and then my partner actually suggested a mobile cafe and started looking into that.

And I like the idea of being able to move around I can take the coffee home with me that's a good benefit for that, and not having to pay rent and all those fees you have to pay for a fixed cafe.

Yeah that's best way to start is a franchise really, and they give me all the tools and resources to be able to do it right so it's been good.

Making coffee yeah I've always loved it I've been making it for nine years I went to uni after school I didn't like coffee at the time, but then walking past all the cafes made me really appreciate it and as soon as I started drinking it went home bought my first few kits aeropress, french press.

Interacting with the customers have been great I've got great customers, love them, we always have a joke play around it's been really good so far - loving it."
