NOFOMO fitness franchise business Q & A

Chayse Green, Co-Founder of NOFOMO New Fitness Movement, joined us for a brief chat at the Melbourne Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo, April 2022.

We covered some of the key aspects of the franchise business including the type of people that are best suited, any common misconceptions about the brand or industry, as well as advice or guidance for anyone looking to get into business for themselves, and more…

What is your business?

"Our business is NOFOMO, the new fitness movement. We are a gym, but a gym like no other.

Where are you located?

We are located in Helensvale and Bundall on the Gold Coast and we've also got some other franchises opening up soon in Northern Queensland.

What do you love about the business and what you do?

The thing I love about our business is, obviously it's a passion of mine fitness, but also the community and the culture that we create through the workouts that we deliver and the people that we meet is probably the biggest plus about the business.

What do you look for in the right-fit person to be a franchise owner?

So when we're looking for a franchisee, we're looking for someone that's passionate about the brand, but also about the workouts and the lifestyle that we give to our clients.

We want someone that's going to be involved not only in the business but in the way the lifestyle is portrayed.

So the way people live life, we want them to live and breathe it doing the workouts and getting involved in everyday stuff.

What’s a common misconception you believe people have about your brand or niche?

Misconception that we have about our brand is that we're just another gym, but we're not.

What we are is we are a 24/7 gym, but we're a HITT studio that delivers world class workouts to the palm of your hand.

Due to our technology that we have via our app on the phone. So a lot of people think we're just another big box gym, but we're not.

We're more than that.

What would be your advice for people looking to get into their own business?

Just take the leap, get involved.

(It) depends. There's people out there that work for other people and there's people out there that go into business themselves.

I feel as though the best thing you can do is go and start your own business or join another franchise and be your own boss.

It's the best thing you can do.

What is your key focus for the next 12-18 months?

Key focus for us is really pushing the franchises. So we've been focusing on our own business at the moment and our first franchise that we've opened.

We want to (do), obviously we're here at the Franchising Expo, we want to expand and go bigger with our brand and get the name out there."
