(What is your business?)

“We are A Clean Move and we specialise in cleaning, carpet cleaning and rubbish removal services for Victoria's property management and real estate sector.

Where are you located?

We're located in Melbourne's inner north. Currently, most of our work is generated within 5 to 10 kilometres of Melbourne's CBD, but at the moment we are generating a lot of interest outside that area. Within the broader Melbourne metropolitan area, including the western suburbs moving around to the Geelong area also. 

(What do you love about what you do?)

I really enjoy working with the property managers. 

I suppose they're unsung heroes within the real estate network. They don't get a lot of respect, they don't get a lot of kindness. 

And I really enjoy working with these people that have a passion for property but are not bogged down in the sales process. 

So property management is just a fantastic area to work with, because when you have a group that's been neglected, it's very easy to come in there and show them a bit of care and attention and all of a sudden you've got advocates for life. 

What do you look for in the right-fit person to be a franchise owner?

That person is very, very personable.

Because this business is all about relationship building. So we need, you need to have an outlook of of empathy, helping people and really getting an understanding of the difficulties property managers face, and then being able to provide a solution to those problems. 

What’s a misconception you believe people have about your brand or niche?

I believe many people would have the misconception that we're simply a cleaning business, whereas what we are, we're providing solutions to property management. 

And if you can imagine, property managers have a wide variety of problems that they deal with on a daily basis. And our niche, so to speak, is to be there to assist and support the property managers and find solutions to their needs. And that goes well beyond simply cleaning. 

What is your key focus for the next 12-18 months?

Our focus over the next 12 to 18 months is definitely supporting those people who are invested in our business and then moving on, looking at growing our network within the Greater Melbourne and Victoria area.”
