5 Stars for Quest franchises 5 Years in a row!


Quest Apartment Hotels has once again been independently rated as a 5 Star Franchise Brand - for the 5th year in a row.

Darryn McAuliffe, CEO FRANdata, presented David Mansfield, CEO Quest Apartment Hotels with their latest 5 Star Rating Award, and discussed some detail about the award.

Darryn: I’m with David Mansfield, CEO of Quest Apartment,

Hotels. David, we've just given you the 5 Star Award again. Congratulations. 

Quest Apartment Hotels, in fact, the first Australian franchise system to be granted that, and you've now just done it five years in a row, which is which is very good. So congratulations. 

David: Thanks, Darryn. It's an honour. And, you know, we're just very proud internally as a company to do what's right, and to be recognised as doing it right for franchising and for our stakeholders.

So thank you very much. 

Darryn: Thanks, David. And look, we ask a lot of questions. We get get a lot of information. It's quite rigorous. And, you know, what we think it's worthwhile, you obviously do. 

Who do you think it's most use to? You know, from your perspective. How does it help, Quest?

David: It well, we're committed to our vision, which is franchise success.

And we understand our balanced stakeholder approach. And we don't just have franchisees. 

We have lenders. We have developers. We have clients.

We have employees, who all feel and want to understand how we are performing.

So it gives us certain credibility and reputation that they feel comfortable to do business with us or to work for us or to take a franchise from us.

And having someone as independent as you are, assessing best best practice,  assessing the KPIs and performance, gives everyone a little bit more confidence and comfort that we are the best we can be every day.

Darryn: There was certainly no question you guys are constantly striving to improve and getting better all the time.

So to think for prospective franchisees, it's of interest to them - people coming in? 

David: Very much so. It just takes out the risk, I think. 

It minimises the risk. And we're able to demonstrate how we perform.

And we're open and transparent like you are. It's important that we have partners who, you know, really make sure we're doing the best we can be and actually say, perhaps you should do something else here. 

(or) 'Have you thought of that?' And we want to understand that and take it on board.

And sometimes we don't always come up with best ideas internally. We need people like you to help us. 

Darryn: Thank you. And look, the franchising sector can be a crowded and confused market.

So it's great to see quality brands actually getting a point of differentiation. I think the hard work that you and your team have have always put in and keep doing is really helping you guys stand out.
