Celebrity Ink franchise Q & A with Andrew McCulloch

Andrew McCulloch of Celebrity Ink, provides a little bit of key detail about the brand and the franchise offer into the market. No industry experience is needed.

What is your business?

"So we're Celebrity Ink, we are a tattoo franchise.

We are in 26 locations across four countries.

What do you love about the business and what you do?

I think it's just the people that we get to interact with.

Obviously the art's fantastic, just a great environment that we seem to be able to sort of surround ourselves with. Interesting.

I met the founder last year, we just got chatting. I had a background in franchising coming from a large real estate franchise place, but I'd also owned a tattoo studio in Bali, so just sort of came together and the rest is history. Here we are.

What do you look for in the right-fit person to be a franchise owner?

Anyone with ambition, you don't need to have any sort of experience within the industry.

We just want people who are ambitious and want to get out there and really make some money.

Where this is a great vehicle to be able to build your own empire.

What would you like people to know about your franchise offer?

Yeah, I think for us it's that we've got a real bespoke offering.

We understand that everyone's different, they want to run a different style business.

So whilst our fit outs are very uniform and we're very protective of the brand, we offer a lot of flexibility in how we service each individual franchisee.

What’s a common misconception you believe people have about your brand or niche?

I think a misconception that we face is people think that they need to be from the industry before they can come in and sort of get a franchise with us, but it's just not the case.

We provide all of the training and support that anyone needs to be successful in this business.

Advice for people looking to get into their own business?

I think anyone that's looking to get into business needs to be surrounded by really good people, so when they're looking at a business they can find something that's going to fit them really well.

But take some really good advice from people who know what they're talking about.

Too often I see people taking poor advice from friends and family who actually have no idea what they're talking about.

So make sure you're getting the advice from the right people in persons.

Key focus next 12-18 months?

So our focus for the next twelve months is to really continue to work on our foundation and concentrate really heavily on Australia whilst we have gone global.

There's so much business for us to work on here."
